The march to the Joker War heats up and Nightwing finds himself smack dab in the middle in Nightwing #72.
Dick Grayson has learned the truth: that “fixing” his identity lies with none other than Barbara Gordon. He must go to Gotham to find Batgirl-and runs into The Joker’s new henchperson, Punchline. Unlike Harley Quinn, Punchline’s deadpan black humor matches the deadly knives she uses on her victims…and for her next joke, Ric Grayson is the punchline.
In addition to picking up Nightwing #72, fans can also look forward to entering the “war zone” on September 29 with Batman: The Joker War Zone #1, a series of short stories featuring characters like Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, and Luke Fox…and see how they’re fighting back in a city under siege. Batman: The Joker War Zone #1, a 48-page one-shot anthology comic with stories by James Tynion IV, John Ridley, Guillem March, James Stokoe, Joshua Williamson, David Lafuente, and more.
The issue, from DC Comics, is written by Dan Jurgens, with pencils and inks by Ronan Cliquet, and colors by Nick Filardi. It will also feature a main cover by Travis Moore with Alejandro Sanchez as well as a variant cover by Alan Quah.
Nightwing #72 will be available in comic book stores and online through digital retailers, including ComiXology using our affiliate link, on July 14, 2020.
