So Here’s What Happened!

Reading Time: 3 minutes

So Here’s What Happened is a monthly podcast featuring two blerdy women LaNeysha and Carolyn, who love to watch and read a lot of things! Every episode Carolyn and LaNeysha come together to review and recommend what they’ve watched and read over the month. From fluffy romance novels and romcoms to gritty comics and dark action-packed anime, they get into it and don’t hold back! Subscribe for new episodes and follow us on Twitter @SHWH_Pod to be a part of the community too!

To share your reviews, watch/livetweet along with us and stay up to date on what we’ll be discussing next. Available on a podcast app or streaming service near you (except SoundCloud because that sh*t is expensive).

You can email us at, and follow the ladies on social media at @CarrieCnh12 and @La_Ney_Sha to keep but be warned, we tweet a lot.

About the Hosts

I’m just a blerdy girl trying to get through my ever-growing list of anime, TV shows, books, and movies. I’ve always loved to watch and read things especially when it comes to anything related to my favorite fandoms. For me, watching and reading things have always been my favorite forms of escapism and to expand my imagination (because let’s face it the world can be trash somedays, but all you need is a good Hayao Miyazaki movie or an episode of American Gods to help make it better).

You can usually find me on Twitter talking about what anime is wrecking my emotions, what comic I’m excited about, fan casting a movie for Ava Duvernay to direct, or which celebrity I’m crushing on. I’m also the host of another podcast called Speak On It. Where I’m joined by a guest and we speak on it. The “it” being whatever they’re passionate about or interested in. Topics range from adulthood, activism, anime and much more! So if you like my voice, check it out here!

I’m just a Bajan nerd living in Toronto, looking for a midnight train going anywhere (sorry I couldn’t resist), ok I’ll be serious now. I’ve always loved talking about my favorite films, shows and books. As a critic I believe my personal experiences, and outlook give readers a different perspective that they would appreciate, and help them to maybe see film, and television shows in a different light.

As a freelance writer, film critic and member of the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA), my published work can be found here on But Why Tho?,Atom Tickets, and many other sites. Not only do I love speaking about film I enjoy tweeting about it, and every Saturday night I co-host the at 10 pm. After moving to Toronto from my island home of Barbados, I’m overjoyed at finally finding my nerd home. I’ve never been happier to be a part of a community of people who enjoy talking about fight choreography, cinematography like I do, and understand why I will forever be bitter about Glenn and Han dying.
